The fan timer allows radiator fan to run for 15 mins after engine is shut-off to prevent higher temperatures due to engine heat soaking.

Cooling fan timer unit is located on driver's kick panel area.

Any download manual from 90-93 (see DIY forum, Online Manuals), will present details.

good luck

TexasHonda, thank you for your input. I have been told that a bad timer may be the cause of coolant fan randomly coming on when ignition and engine are turned off. This can occure whether the engine is hot or cold and can run down battery.

Any suggestions you may have on this subject would appreciated.

Suggest to swap relay (radiator realy to condensor fan relay) for affected fan and see if problem fan moves. A weak relay might cause same results.

You should be able to find a used cooling fan timer on ebay or car-part.com.

good luck

I obtained a used timer off e-bay and installed. This fixed my problem.

Thanks
