Default 91 accord Cruise Control Issues

I recently bought a 91 accord 5 speed. The cruise light on the dash comes on when pushed, when I push the set button on the steering wheel, the light on the gauge cluster come, but it will not hold speed. I have tried pulling up on the brake pedal and the clutch pedal in case the switch was hung up, but its still hasn't helped.

Any ideas on where to trouble shoot next? There has to be something I'm overlooking.

All advice is appreciated,

Thanks in advance,

Scott

Have you checked whether the cruise-control cable is attached properly at the throttle body?

Check vacuum line supply to the cruise actuator. This is easy to knock off.

good luck

Thanks for the advice, I have checked both of those issues and still no cruise, I am not sure where else to go from here. I Do a lot of highway driving and it would be handy to have.

Check whether you have vacuum supply to the actuator.

Suggest downloading a shop manual that has trouble shooting chart and diagnostic procedures. See Online Manuals post in DiY forum. I believe there is a 91 or 92 Accord manual.

good luck
