91 Accord Ingnition Lock Cylinder
My son has a 1991 Accord with a soon to be worn out ignition lock cylinder.
My local Honda Dealer says that it is impossible to replace the lock cylinder with one that will use the same key as the doors and trunk.
Can anyone confirm that this is the case.
Otherwise I will get a jobber lock and carry two keys, one for ignition and one for the doors and trunk.
Thanks for any replys.

It's not impossible but it's probably a little spendy.... call a local locksmith and tell them your situation and I'm sure they can find a way to make it so you can use the same key.... I think that in some cases they can kind of "rebuild" your existing lock mechanisim..... talk to them about prices/options and I'm sure you can get something, otherwise yes you will have two different keys

What makes u think it is worn out? Does the key not come out when put in park?
If so, its probably your switch position sensor on the gear selector.... much cheaper and easier to fix

RE: 91 Accord Ingnition Lock Cylinder
we do this all the time when we have to replace the ugn switch and customer wants to use only one key,,
Take the new ign switch and the old key to a lock smith and ask them to rekey the NEW IGN switch to the old key ,, so 1 key will open doors and start the car 50-60 dollars ..
