Default 91 EX Front brake question

This one might be weird but someone here may know the answer.

My wagon takes a 15 inch wheel with 4 X 114.3 Bolt pattern.

I have a nice set of 14 inch wheels and tires with 4 X 114.3 bolt pattern but they won't fit over the front calipers. They are wheels for an Accord, 1990-1996 or a Prelude 92-96.

Now for the weird part. Could the front brake calipers off an Accord or Prelude car that came with 14 inch wheels fit on my wagon?

I suspect Honda used a larger caliper on the wagons than they did on the cars and that's the only reason my 14 inch wheels won't fit. If the car calipers have the same bolt holes and are just a bit slimmer it might allow me to use these wheels and tires.

I drive the wagon on secondary roads all the time and rarely over 50 MPH so the slight loss in braking power would not be a big issue for me.

The wheels and tires I have are brand new Blizzaks and Sport Edition rims from Tire Rack and I screwed up when I ordered them not realizing I needed 15 inch. I put the rears on the car and drove in to Advanced Auto to buy new lug nuts for the fronts. When I got home I found out the front wheels would not fit over the calipers. I could not return them because I mounted and drove 16 miles on the rears. Here I sit with close to $700 in wheels and tires and I can't use them.

Any help will sure be appreciated. Will calipers off an Accord 90-96 or Prelude 92-96 fit on my 91 wagon?

Thanks

Gary

I am pretty sure that the rotors for the wagon are also bigger than the rotors for the sedan .so are calipers and brake pads ..i do not think that you can install sedan's calipers on a wagon .....I have never personally changed to the smaller size so i do not know what else might need to be replaced ...not sure if wagon rotors would bolt on the sedan hub ,,,

Thanks DesertHonda and excellent point about the rotors.

How about another idea if I find a sedan in the JY, could the entire front hub assemblies fit on my wagon?

I have seen threads where others upgrade from 4 lug fronts to 5 lug assemblies but I don't know if we could downgrade from 4 lug 15 inch wheels to 4 lug 14 inch.

I have tried selling this entire set on Craig's list but the offers I get are ridiculously low ball considering the near $700 I spent last year.
