Hi i have a 91 Honda accord i just got a week ago and my s light is on and i have no reverse i put in in the reverse gear and its just a loud noise not so much grinding but a high pitch clicking like its not slipping into gear does anyone no what this could be i don't have the money to take it in so i got to do it myself. any help would be much appreciated.

 

S-light On means there is a code stored in TCU. Short service check connector under glove box (blue 2 wire connector may be plugged into a holder). S light will flash codes (check flash, then codes are flashed as short flashes (f) for units and Long Flashes (F) for tens. So F-ffff = 14. There could be multiple codes which are separated by a long pause (3 secs or so). Code sequence will repeat.
