92 Accord automatic - losing power/limp mode?
My mom just had a transmission put into her 92 Accord (automatic). She purchased it from a junk yard, I don't know anything about it and I don't believe she was even told the mileage on it. It is shifting wonderfully, however sometimes while accelerating her car will feel like it's trying to die. If she lets off the gas for a few seconds and then punches it, it will get a burst and go again. She added the fuel system cleaner to a full tank of gas, she is still on that tank around 1/4 left. No improvements so far. Any ideas what it could be? Thanks!
PS. This used to be my car, it was parked for 4 or so months because it needed a new transmission. It NEVER had these symptoms when I drove it.

No such thing as limp mode on that car. Next time it happens have her let off the gas pedal and watch/listen to see if the engine revs a little and smooths out. Although not super common it may be that the fils filter is bad which will be indicated by the DIY diagnostics above. FYI don't even try to replace it until it is determined that is the cause. You will likely be doing the fuel line if you chose to do it...
