My problem is sometimes when i put the key in the on position the check engine light stays on and the car wont start it just turns. If i wait a while (it could be 1 minute or 20 minutes) i can hear a faint click in the dash and 2 seconds later another click and then the check engine light shuts off and the car starts up. advanced auto said my car is too old to test. its only got 160500 on the thing it runs great untill the light comes on for no reason. i appreciate any feedback.

 

I would test/inspect the main relay.

For codes, there is a service connector on the pass side under/behind the glove box.
