Default 92 Accord EX Crank Position

Hello. 1992 Accord EX - I pulled error an code indicating crank position sensor. I ordered one for $19 and it should be in this week. Problem I was having very rough start, barely idle, but would eventually idle ok. However, it would run weak, like a miss. I did my best diagnosing but hit dead ends until I got the CEL and got the code. I figure it is worth 19 bucks to see what happens. Anyway, has anyone replaced one? I thought at first this thing was underneath vehicle, but now I'm reading distributor requires removal. I'm hoping someone may have done a video on the CKP replacement thx Rex

What code did you get from the check engine light flashes? Remember that the root cause for a "sensor" code, could be a problem with the sensor, the wiring/connection, or the ECU/TCU. I've seen too many times where someone will post on here "I got an O2 sensor code, replaced the sensor, but still have an O2 sensor code..." With something more expensive like a distributor, some inspection and testing with a volt meter is a good idea.

The picture of the sensor you posted will not work in your accord, because the crank angle, top dead center, and cylinder position sensors are built into the distributor.

Default Got the 4 blinks from check engine light

Thanks for the tip. It appears the sensor I posted a picture of connects to the transmission.
