Hi,

I had a Honda coil which had about 15k miles on it. It was replaced as part of a mystery problem, and I replaced the coil and ignitor, rotor, cap, and wires.

Anyway, the 15k mile coil developed a 3" crack in the case. No signs of heat or shorts or anything else.

Should I be concerned this coil problem was caused by something other than a bad coil? The car ran fine right up until it didn't run at all.

Running fine now.
