Hello, the radio in my 92 Honda Accord LX Wagon, keeps saying code on the screen, and I have no idea what the code is, I lost the original manual. Does anyone know the code, or a code i can use? Please tell me what to press. All help is appreciated!!!

 

you are going to have to contact a dealer and give them your vin and probably the serial number off the radio and they can get it for you

 

using the serial number, the dealer will be more than happy to make you around 75 bucks poorer and give you the code. It is serial number specific... you remove radio, will cost this much...if they remove, will cost you around 125 for everything. After obtaining the code, with the radio on, hit any memory button, then it will beep.. then enter code. Time to upgrade to a CD player? WILL BE CHEAPER!

 

I've heard that if you press and hold the 1 and 6 on the radio while it's off, then still holding those buttons turn the radio back on, the code will appear. first the first four numbers, then the last four numbers. I don't know if it works bacause I haven't tried it myself but I just read that yesterday in another forum. Anyway, let us know if it works.

 

i cant pay to go to a dealer and get the number if anyone can please help me i really need to get my code since my dad gave me my first car and he threw away the manual i have the radio serial number and my car id number PLEASE HELP!

 

Either go to Honda's website and enter your car info or goto/call the dealer with the info you have (make sure you have the registration info as well) and they should give it to you - no cost.....if they do want money, let them know they are #1 one and walk out as nice as you can be . You can also look around the edges of the glove box for a sticker that has 4~5 digits and try that.
