Default 93 accord "no fault" code

93 accord EX, 2.2, AT. Cranks over, got spark and fuel. Tried to retrieve fault codes with self test. Check light stays on does not flash at all. Most vehicles have a "no fault" code but my Hayne"s manual does not list one and it states that a 0 code means ECU problem. I"m pretty good with cars but I'm stuck and Honda can't run a diagnostic without it running. Any help would be appreciated.

So you had the key on OFF, jumped the service connector under the dashed and turned the key to ON/II and it didn't blink or anything?

Youre Honda is OBDI... I don't think you can hook up a scanner and get any realtime data from it...

Thank you for responding.. Yes, did all that twice trying to get an indication of which sensor may be faulty. The check engine light just stays on which I assume means "o" . I would like to know if there is a "no fault code". Most vehicles flash 12 if there is no fault in memory.

When the lamp comes on and stays on with the connector shorted, that means that there is no code stored.

Reading from the shop manual, a code 0 is different, and can happen two different ways:

1. That happens if the engine light does not come on at all when you short the service connector.

2. A code zero is indicated when the check engine light comes on while driving, yet you get no codes when you short the service connector.
