93 accord automatic transmission rpm increases from 600 rpm to 1200 rpm when put in gear. This is driving me crazy,can you have bad tps with no code?realize everything goes thru ecm to tcm but I don't what would cause this specfic problem.Will idle just fine in neutral and park but jumps up when put in gear.

 

Happen when the engine is cold......happen when the engine is warm....or all the time?

A good cleaning of the throttle body never hurts....get both sides of the butterfly. Also a cleaning of the IACV and FITV can't hurt.

Also check the "free play" on the cables at the TB......of course have someone you trust to hold the brake and shift the car from P to R.......R to N.....then N to D.
