Default 93 Accord brake fluid leak.

93 Honda Accord brakes are super soft and brake fluid needs refilled about every 3 days. Its leaking between the Master Cylinder and the Power Booster. Is there a gasket there? What does this normally indicate?

I'd hate to get a new or used MC and it just be a gasket, etc..

Thanks for the help in advance.

I moved your thread to a more appropriate section to get responses, the General Tech help section.

There's some kind of rubber washer thing between the MC & the booster, but the REAL fluid seal should be internal to the MC. So I think you'll need a new MC.

Thanks!

Kinda what i've suspected to this point. I'd assume if I had fluid in the power booster it would be on the floorboard or on the interior side of the fire wall. A new MC is planned. Just hope thats what it is, hard to tell..

If the fluid has been getting into the vacuum booster, over time it might rot the diaphragm. Fluid won't leak inside the car until that happens, but by then the vacuum leak will cause other problems.

The mounting for the booster isn't real clear in the parts drawings, you might have to unbolt it from the interior. But I think I'd try to figure out whether fluid has gotten into the booster.
