Default 93 Accord power windows

Hello All,

Let me thank you for your help with this before I start. I am a member at clubtitan.organd I recently bought my first Honda. It is a 93 Accord LX 4 dr. I have a few problems with it, the worst one is the power windows not working properly. The battery has been replaced and I am convinced it is not an electrical problem. The front passenger works fine up and down. The other three go down, but coming up is a real struggle. I was told not to use the other windows as I would be lucky if they went up. I have read a few posts on this and it seems that the problem is the rails need to be cleaned. I need to ask a few specific questions about this.

1. Where are the rails that are discussed? Are these the ones the window runs up and down on? I am more of a visual person then a written person (sorry).I understand they need to be cleaned and this is a possible problem for them going up so slow.

2. Someone metioned alcohol and a sponge. Is this the best way?

3. Finally how the heck do these door panels come off. I have looked a bit and messed with thembut no luck so far. I think there are some screws and clips. the clips are somewhat brittleand I don't want to break anything.

4. Last question, the driver side front window will not roll up any further and it is not all the way shut. Is there a way to adjust this as well?

Thanks again for reading and answering any of the questions I have.

Steve C.
