93 Accord Rear Seat Removal
Greetings to all,
I am trying to remove the rear seat from my 93 Accord.
In the manuals, they mention two 10 mm bolts.
I could not find these bolts when I looked inside the trunk.
Also, there is a key lock behind the seat under the rear window with the following note on it ( Turn to unlock the seat back).
When Iinserted the ignition key and rotated it, the rear seat did not fold forward.
Could you please provide some details/photos/videos?
I did a lot of search but did not find the needed details.

Once the key turns you have to pull -pretty good - the top of the rear seat to make it come down. BTW - there should be a plastic "t-handle" inside the trunk you can pull, look from inside the trunk where the lock is, this will also release the top of the rear seat........and BTW if you ever get locked in the trunk, there is your way out, pull the handle and push the seat back.
Now for removing the seat. Are we trying to remove the bottom part or the upper? Either way, to get to the bolts that hold the parts in place, most of the time you just need to "spread" the two parts (top/back seat part from the bottom) - use your hand where the two come together and pull/push the coushin part and you should be able to get to the bolts......so put your hand on the lower coushin right where it meets the upper part and push down/pull forward pretty good and you should see the bolts.
EDIT - attached is a sample 4th gen Accord (90-93) rear seat set up

thank you. It was a lot easier than I thought.
Many idea where I could find a shop manual?
autozome.com apparently bought ALLDATA and offers a fair bit of their material for free on their website when you register an account with them. But I would love to download an actual hard copy.

I've gotten a few manuals from "automanualsource.com" - hint, where that picture came from
The last one I got - about two months ago - was for my nephew's CRV. $22 for a pdf download or $27 for a CD and a download. I went for the $27, nephew got the CD and I downloaded it - that way we both have a copy so if he ever has an issue we can be looking at the same thing......he lives over 1K miles away.

I got the 1998-2002 Accord service manual(s) from Helm Inc. It came in a big box with 3 manuals in it (part 1 and 2, along with the electrical section book) well worth the money to me since I have a 99 and an 00 Accord here. It covers everything, both coupe and sedan. If you have the V6, I'd recommend getting that book as well, as the 2 big ones I got only cover the 4 cylinder models, but in the body sections it covers both.
