So i bought this 93 accord the 10th anniversary, and when i turn it on the temp goes straight to the hottest it can go and my speedometer does not work, not a flash nothing. Could this be a simple fix?

 

You almost have to assume that the problems are not related when you start testing.

The first thing to do for the temperature gauge is to unplug the sending unit. The sending unit only has one wire going to it, and I think it is on the cylinder head possibly engine block near the distributor. Make sure the unplugged connector doesn't touch any metal. Turn the key and let us know what happens with the temperature gauge.

As for the speedometer, does your cruise control work?
