The first thing I would do is to start the car and turn on the a/c. Do both fans on the radiator turn on?
For some preliminary testing, start at the pressure switch. It is on one of the a/c metal hoses under the battery tray.
Unplug that pressure switch. You can jump the electrical connector with a piece of wire, then start the car and turn on the a/c. If the compressor turns on, turn off your car immediately. That would mean that you have low pressure and have a leak in your a/c system. Or a faulty pressure switch.
If the a/c compressor clutch does not engage, we can give you some other tests to try.
