'94 Accord w/ H22A Swap
Hey guys,
I have a H22A swap in my '94 and I burped the radiator three days ago. Today when I was sitting in a drive thru the temp gauge pinned hot and when I started driving it would drop down to half way, than it would slowly climb all the way up and drop down again. Any idea what this would be?

Why did you have to "burp" the rad.....was the coolant low?
......are BOTH cooling fans working/running when the overheat happens?
I hate to throw parts/$'s at an issue but the t-stat does not cost that much - OE is best.

The guy I bought the car off did the swap and said he had some heat issues. So yes the coolant was low and there was a lot of air in there when I filled it up and ran it. There's one of two fans hooked up and yes it does run when the car is warm. I was thinking thermostat or water pump. Thermostat is cheap and easy to fix so I'll do that first probably.

If the coolant was low, I'd want to know where it went?
Low coolant levels could cause the issue you are having. Need to top it off and be sure to get the air out of the system. Then inspect for leaks, again the coolant went somewhere
