yes i do have a test light, i check for current to the coill and have power to both terminals on the coil its self, thats all i had time to check

 

Again in that same "Common DIY Threads" link I posted there is also a link to a manual you can download, in that is the testing procedures.

Pretty sure you have the one with the "internal" coil - inside the dist cap - but will you confirm that.

 

yes it has the coil inside the dist. working on getting the manual downloaded.... my internet isnt the best where i live
