Default 94 coupe with AC problem

My 94 accord coupe has a low flow problem just like a clogged cabin filter on later models. I am told 94 has no cabin filter. Where do I look for the problem?

Can you give us a few more details?

This "flow" issue happens with both the ac and heat.

Is the blower motor working, have you recently replaced it, have you pulled it and checked for "dirt/trash" in the case.

Blower motor is not difficult to remove in 94 accord. There is one screw near outside that is difficult to reach. I found a flexible ratchet screwdriver extension was just the tool. As PM suggests, remove and check for trash or damaged blower cage.

Also you may be able to get a flashlight and mirror and see the face of the evaporator through fan opening. A clogged evaporator is potenially possible. Usually a slow leak causes oil from AC to accumulate and dust sticks to oil blocking flow path. Also leave/dirt from outside can be shoved into evaporator box.

Evap box is not hard to remove, but AC must be discharged to remove hose connections at firewall. If you attempt to remove evaporator box, download the 94-97 Accord shop manual for instructions. Fasteners are tricky to spot, but all are accessible. Take the opportunity to renew all oring seals, new receiver/drier, replace oil charge, etc.

good luck

Blower motor is working, just seems to have a low flow of air. I will pull the fan and ck for trash on the evaporator coil.
