I can not get my car started, when I turn the key I hear a rapid clicking noise (sorta like a woodpecker). I don't think it's the battery because my lights and radio works. The noise sounds like it's coming from the starter, but I really don't know that much about cars. Any help would be much appreciated.

it definately could be the battery,that's my first guess, , it takes a LOT more to start the car than to turn the lites on...........also chk the battery cables make sure they are clean and tight,
have the battery and charge system checked out ...........if all is ok, with batteryand cables ,,,,,,,,,most likely you got a bad starter .

when you hear that woodpecker sound it means the battery doesn't have enough juice to crank the motor, but enough to run the lights, radio, etc..
