94 honda accord ex A/T 2.2l vtec rough start
I recently bought a 94 honda accord ex a/t 2.2l vtec (f22b1) grinding noise when starting some times like the start won't catch then will start cranking, fires up then dies, after 2-6 times trying to start it fires right up. The vehicle was sitting for about a year. Changed main relay, ignition switch, distributor, plugs, wires, pulled started got it tested it check out good. Throws a code 9 after new dizzy. The seller said he put a new fuel pump in I'm just scratching my head any ideas what it could be??
Also just learned it has a clifford alarm with remote start, seems to start up fine with the remote now I'm really confused

Alarm systems that are not installed properly or have an internal issue can cause some strange starting problems. Take a look at how the alarm system is wired for any obvious signs of poor connections. I remember years ago someone opened up the alarm control unit and found a burnt resistor that caused all the problems.
You may want to search the web for common problems with your specific clifford alarm system to see if there is a DIY fix out there.
For the code 9, is the check engine light flashing 9 times or the D4 light (if you have an automatic transmission)?
