I just bought a 94 Honda Accord 4cyl, the airbags have deployed and just wondering if the control module needs to be replaced in addition to the airbags. Also if i use used airbags must they be out of a 4 cyl also?

 

I worked as a Ford tech for 23 years and just new to the Honda scene. I made a lot of $'s working on fords in the 80's and 90's as there was plenty of crapy fords built so please dont hate me for being a ford Mechanic. If i were a Honda mechanic I would have not been as busy. Hope someone can help me with my question I now work at a shop where we service all makes and models.

 

The shop manual says to replace the SRS unit. As for the air bags, look up the parts on a site like honda parts now dot com for the 4 vs 6 cylinder. If they have the same part number, then they are interchangeable. I would not swap them if they do not have the same part number.
