i was driving my car and it pretty much quit out on me... the guage lights shut off and the power steering stopped working... as well as the radio... when i proceded to a safer location i stopped and tried to start the car up again. and when i did that it worked (but only when the key was cranked) when i let go of the key the engine immediatly died.. non of the electrical worked (accept the stereo) i had to keep the key turned in order to roll up the windows and things of that nature. does anyone know or have any idea on how i can fix this problem.... please help.

 

I would start with diagnosing the ignition switch. Sounds like when you put the key in the II position, you are not making the proper contact to power stuff inside.

 

have had the same problem on a 96 accord the ignition switch went out while driving down the road. replaced the switch and cured the problem.
