Default Fuel pulsation damper leaks

I took the fuel rail off to replace the o-rings on the injectors. Afterward, I pressurized the fuel system and I saw fuel streaming out the fuel pulsation damper. Is there anything I need to know about attaching it to the fuel rail?

The one I'm talking about is from the fuel line feed. It use metal washers.

Sorry was trying to guess what you meant by "fuel pulsation damper". Yes the fuel rail uses washers. Not sure on a 2000 if there are two or not.

Father-in-law helped with the leak. There's a new problem now. The idle pulses between 1250 - 1500. Should I get a new fuel pulsation damper unit?

Bleed the coolant. Then look in the DIY for an base idle adjust or re-learn. I'm going with re-learn, you didn't pull the fuel rail for nothing....there had to be a reason, and now it is corrected.

Is it neccessary to drain the coolant before bleeding it, or could I try forcing the air out of the upper hose to the cap?

Update, got a check engine light and code read P0505. Now since then car has been idling normal. Go figure. I'll just leave it as is. If light goes out by itself, fine by me.
