My accord started running rough a few weeks ago only when in gear at at around 1700 to 2100rpm...if idling it fine. if you rev it up while it's in neutral it flutters a little around 2000 to 2500 RPM's. I replaced plugs, wires, and distributor cap with no luck. then a mechanic at honda thought it was the drive shaft so i replaced the right and left, and also new rotors. still no luck. seems like to me its more of a performance issue. it runs so rough at certain RPM's that the dashboard and steering wheel shakes pretty bad. In the common DIY thread on top of the gen tech help forum, there is a link for cleaning the EGR port for the 5th gen accord. I check out the links provided and clean the EGR ports. It should help eliminate the stumble in that rpm range.
