'95 civic 1.6 4cyl auto-trans

Default '95 civic 1.6 4cyl auto-trans

lately I need to insert door key into trans lock-unlock to put lever in neutral to start car.
Can I DIY this or is it more?
Anyone please help

Check your brake light switch, it may be the stopper pad had broken and is gone or the brake light switch needs replacement. Refer to this link to see what I am referring to. The part number may or may not be the same depending on your Civic. If the brake switch isn't depressed, it can prevent the shift lever from being moved from the P position.
