95 lx -- ol' blue
Hey guys, this is my first time to post, but not my first forum visit. I drive a 305k auto 95 accord lx and have driven most of those miles, though with regular maintenance, I find it to be quite reliable and quick when I need it to be.
It has a new transmission--ripped from a 97 ex I believe--different gearing but otherwise smooth performance.
Completely unrelated to that though is the reason I decided to post:
I find that when driving at highway speeds for a prolonged time (between 70-80 mph), sometimes--and most closely in the 70-75 mph range--that allowing deceleration through natural engine braking causes a loud rattle that can be mitigated by slowly applying gas or braking.
Any ideas?--the cars performance is otherwise fine, though this noise has been something i've observed for a number of years.
