Question 96 Accord

My 1996 Accord 4 Dr Sedan 2.2 li ran and drove great accept for it idled poorly. This got worse and started going dead at stoplights.

I changed the air filter, cleaned the throttle body. Changed the fuel pressure regulator, fuel filter and distributor. I also checked the main relay.

I also repaired the manifold w J.B. Weld and wrapped it. I know if the exhaust isn't fully closed the car will over compensate by adding more fuel. But there's no noise coming from the manifold and I don't think that's the issue.

Now the car will crank and idle almost like new. But when I put it in gear it won't go past 2500 rpms and goes dead almost immediately.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Any codes present? The OBDII port is behind the ash tray.

There was an 02 sensor code and I changed it out. It had no impact other than the check engine light went out.

This is the kind of problem where you can throw a lot of parts at the car. Do you have a scan tool that can read live engine data?

Does your scan tool read live data from the sensors?

I've had three different scan tools hooked up and the only error was an 02 sensor. There's check engine light (nor any other light) on.

I'm not asking about error codes. Error codes are set when the signal is outside of what the computer determines acceptable.

I'm asking if your scan tool can read the fuel trims, O2 sensor data, %throttle open, etc. from the engine computer.
