I am no transmission expert, but cleaning out the solenoid would be my next step. It is simple enough to do.

Clean the electrical connections in case any transmission fluid got in there when the line broke. WD-40 should work, just make sure that it is dry before you plug it back in.

What is totally dead, the solenoid isn't clicking now?

If that is the case, ebay or a junkyard would be a cheap source for the parts.

I think that is a code 2 and code 8.

Now you have a code for the lockup solenoid and the shift solenoid.

There are two sets of solenoids on your transmission. The lockup solenoid is on top (hood side of the tranny, and the shift solenoid is on the front (bumper side).

Well I checked both the lockup and shift [replaced] they both click...so they work fine...could the wires going TO the solenoids be bad? If so, how in the hell am I going to check those?

EDIT: I'm looking into it more from that site on the DIY section...don't reply, I'll let you know what I find

EDIT2: So um...my car doesn't have a TCM...now what?

Your car has to have a TCM, since it has an auto tranny. It just may be combined into one unit with the ECM.
ECM = engine control module
TCM = tranny control module
PCM = powertrain control module = ECM & TCM combined

I'm not sure what year they started combining them...
