Default 96 accord front splash guard

96 accord 2.2L 4 dr

Over the years I have managed to snap all the bolts on the large front black splash guard except for the two outside ones. Any suggestions how to fix this? I was able to get one stainless nut and bolt in the middle hole and tighten it with a wrench but none of the others have access like this. Its not objectionably lose but its missing 4-5 bolts now.

Sorry, in my mind I call that the front spoiler....I'd take the ones that are there out and get the thing off the car. Then you might have room to get to the clips to be sure the "stud" is still in there. From there re-install and go....or you might "rig" something if you want to.

To me it sounded like he was talking about the splash shield?

Several of the fasteners aren't bolts - they're those little plastic clips (#11). You can find substitutes at places like AutoZone, but they never seem to be exactly the same size.

Yes thats the one sorry I should have looked up the picture myself.

The plastic clips are long gone

Its the bolt connections Im trying to salvage somehow. Im thinking now of trying to re-tap the hole short of taking a lot of things apart I cant get my hand in their except for the middle bolt which I hand tightened a stainless nut and bolt into.
