ok l have a 96 accord with h22 swap everything is done but distributor. my stock harness has 5 wire plug internal coil. h22 distributor has 6 wires 2 plugs and external coil. l am using a msd coil but how do l wire this up?

 

your dizzy should have 4 spark plug wires and a coil plug wire. How do you have 6 wires? If your internal coil than you should have 4 spark plug wires on your dizzy and 5 if your external. I had this issue when I swapped my f22b dizzy over from my f22a dizzy. The extra plug that part of the wire harness you need a sick a 30amp fuse in the harness plug that plugs into the coil pack.

Now is your MSD coil a external coil pack? If so you should have instructions on how to go from external to a internal coil and vice versa. I’m confused how you say you have 6 spark plug wires coming off your dizzy. You should have either 4 or 5 wires. A spark plug wire for each cyl and a spark plug wire from your coil to your dizzy. Or you should have ONLY 4 spark plug wires going to each spark plug then you would have a internal coil.

 

I think he means the wiring-harness connection is 2 plugs with 6 wires between them...

 

exactly the WIRES on the HARNESS not spark plug wires. i have 4 spark plug wires for 4 cylinders. l have 4 wires on 1 plug and 2 wires on other plug = 6 wires on h22a4 dizzy. one big 5 wire plug on stock harness. now all my wires match by color but l am left over with a green wire on h22 dizzy.

I would order the H22 TD-60 distributor from rywire dot com and go from there.

 

yes but l have to stay obd2 for emissions thats a obd1

 

lol inspections/emissions, I cant remember the last time I passed those legitimately.

Would the distributor make an effect on that though? I mean I guess your only option is to just take it all apart and trace the wires, and just try it.

 

actually l think l found issue. l have no power to my ecu and ive checked all my fuses which is just 2. l dunno why or what else to do? suggestions?

 

l have power to fuses inside car but no power to fuses under hood

 

Check the ECU ground on the thermostat housing.
