Default 96 EX motor issues

i"ve got a four cylinder v-tech that's burning oil and coolant, causing it to overheat and burn up spark plugs. the head gasket was replaced last year and i haven't been able to locate any leaks. hoses, radiator cap, all been replaced. I've checked with UV dye but I'm still coming up nothing. the motor has about 183k on it, should i just try to switch it out or take it in for an inspection? I'm tired of money and time being thrown at something that malfunctions.

Could be defective/bad head gasket, did you check the head for warpage or crack when you do the head gasket last year ?

What does your coolant look like? Look to be any oil mixed in the radiator? Does your engine oil look milky?

When you say your car burns coolant? Is it actually getting low? Or is your car just overheating?

Your car can over heat with full coolant, there are a bunch of other variables that can cause overheating.

With those miles your car is going to burn more oil than it used to. Check for where the oil is leaking from. And fix the problem if visable.

Based upon your post, I'd start with a leak down test. This should confirm if the head gasket is leaking coolant.

If that test come back with no leaks, let us know and we can give more tests to find the source(s).
