Last week I went out to start my car and it would not turn over so I tried again and this is where I think the problems accured. The alarm went off (Locktronics Alarm). Well we tried to jump start the car to no avail. I had it diagnosed they said it was a dead battery and also the starter so I replaced both of those last night. Tried to start the car again yet to no avail. There car is turning over as before yet just not firing up to start is all. I have also read somewhere else that other people with Locktronics alarms were having difficulties with their alarm no allowing the car to start unless by passing the alarm. Is anyone familiar with Locktronics alarms??

 

your issue sounds familiar but I'm not 100% sure what the fix was... sounds like your locktronics alarm is not allowing the spark to go through... I'd go to their website and contact the manufacturer about it, this may be a common issue and they may have a simple workaround.... Have you checked to see if you're getting spark/fuel?

 

Locktronics is no longer in business and I cannot find any information on them. I am getting spark, but fuel how would I know that??
