My daughter has a 96 and it makes a howling noise when going over 20 mph. It has new tires up front. I know it's not the tires. I jacked the car up and removed the wheel. At about 10 mph it starts to howl from the inner cv joint area. Do those go bad or is it more likely to be something in the transmission? I'm not even sure you can get an inner cv joint cup. Any ideas how to better determine where the noise is coming from?
