You know, I never did find out. I heard from a mechanic that a local trans shop has seen the problem before and fixed it in shop for around $200, they said it had something to do with a solenoid and electronics. I'm planning on calling them up one of these days to see what they have to say, and if I could possibly do it myself without having to drop the trans.
