Default 97 accord 2.2L Vtec

I have a 97 accord and it bogs at the beginning of any take-off could it possibly be the fuel filter? maybe its not getting enough fuel at first. Its slow at the take off I know all accords are but mine is slower than normal any suggestions? Im all ears

Maybe clean the EGR ports on the intake manifold? See the common diy thread on top of the gen tech help forum for a link to a DIY procedure.

How are the maintenance items like distributor cap, distributor rotor, and spark plugs?

The cap hasnt been changed since Im not sure when nor the rotor is the expensive? The plugs have been changed about 3-4000 miles ago

I would replace all 3 items you mentioned.
I paid $60 for EKG plugs,cap and rotor at autozone
Then once you do this see how it runs?

This is what we the DIY mechanics need to do at times?

Alright will do and I couldnt remember the brand they were expensive and made just for imports as I was told.

Honda seems to work best with NGK or Denso plugs.
