Question 97 Accord Check Engine Light

Fellas,

Yesterday my CEL came on, first time in 30K miles and 3 plus years.

Car seems to be running ok though.

Can this code be retrieved by jumpering something, or on this model do you need to use the OBD computer from the auto parts store?

Thanks!

look at the stick in the DIY section of this forum

Codes can be retrieved either way on the 97

Auto Parts store is the best - IMO

Take it to an auto parts store. They can read the codes and give you a printout as to what the code is and what it means. Autozone does this for free and is easy enough my wife does this when the light comes on to save me the trouble of having to take the car there myself.
