Default 97 Accord Door lock fuse car wouldnt start

Hey guys, just bought a 97 accord due to high gas prices. I have the infamous door lock actuator issue that ive seen others plagued with. I would rather not have to take the door panel off and do all of that. I have removed the #38 fuse that controls the power locks. This car is just a commuter and I dont need power locks. Just want to lock/unlock manually. Anyways, the next day car wouldnt start or turn over or anything. After troubleshooting several things ive discovered putting that fuse back in was the problem, car fired right up. Is this a safety/security issue? Is there anything else I can do just to simply bypass power locks? I was hoping removing the fuse would do the trick. Ive read others have pulled the fuse and didnt complain about this problem.

Thanks

Just saw your post. From the wiring diagram the #38 fuse shouldn't cause the car to not start. Is this a 4 cylinder accord or V6?

Does your accord have an alarm system installed on it?
