97 Accord Headlight Ring Holder
Hi guys...long time no be here!!! LOL Well, I take my car into Sears today to have them change my right front low beam headlamp because I noticed it was very dim the other night. Yes, I was in a lazy mode today and it was only gonna cost 34.00 with labor so what the hell. Any they pull it apart and find out my lamp is still good but the ring that holds the bulb assembly in place has broke and melted so my headlight was laying back, almost out of the headlight assembly...that is why it looked dim. So they call Honda and Honda reports they do not sell the ring...I have to buy the whole damn assembley at a whopping 210.00!!!!!! My god.....
So, my plea to anyone here is if ya have and extra ring lying around anywhere I would gladly buy it from you via paypal for a reasonable price. I know I can go to the junk yard but I just don't have time these days so if someone here could help that would be great!!! ;-)
I don't know if the part is the same for like 94-97 so maybe someone could let me know that too.
Thanks for any help and out with the duct tape for now!!!
peace out,
daddy

Ok, find another dealer. Or tell them to special order the part # (double check me, Majestic Honda or some other Honda dealer web site), or even look into an aftermarket one...last try a junk yard.
Not sure what your point is...mine, you can get "just the ring" if that is all you need.

If the online stores sell that part, then the dealership should be able to order that part. Give the dealership that part number that poorman posted.
Maybe the dealership thought that a different part was broken on the headlight assembly?

On another note, I have found it online but there is always a catch for this $3.00 part. First catch is if your order just one you get charged a $12.00 shipping fee. Next catch is other sites will only take a minimum order of 4 or more.
So bottom line is I will get and hope that the local dealer just misunderstood the part when Sears called them.
Thanks for all the help guys...always appreciated ;-)
peace out,
daddy
