I am wondering if it would be possible or anyone even tried to swap the accord automatic shifter assembly from the push button style honda loves to the non button style that most acura have and other cars like it?

I'm interested in installing something like what the acura 97 lt has. Same number of gears and all but they use the design that requires no button to be pushed to change from park to drive and whatnot.

 

I would check into the CL shifter. Many of the CL parts are interchangeable with that generation Accord. You may be looking at replacing the entire center console and dash assembly though. I know a guy in FL that did this a few years ago on his 96 Accord. He posted a DIY on another forum site.
