97 f22 swapped into a 96 shell

97 f22 swapped into a 96 shell

here's the deal,

i picked up a 96 ex with bad motor that's about to go. i'm wondering if a 97 motor from an automatic will swap into with no problems?

If the 97 is also an EX it will work fine. If its an dx/lx then you will need the ECU as well.

thanks for the input. since mine is a vtec and the motor i found is also a vtec, my guess is, is that it'll work just fine then.
