h22a swapped into accord.. lagging problems
Hey I put a h22a into my 90 accord and the tranny was bad so its getting fixed..
before that though it would lag and i dont know if that tranny problem would of been that because the clutch was still good... i would get on it and shift into second and it would lag and then go... any ideas as to what the problem could be? hit me up
thanks

What was your tach doing, lagging too, or shooting up a bit like a slipping clutch.
I would venture to look for carbon build up on the valves, do a SeaFoam treatment for starters, then I would look at a fuel delivery issue, the engine is going lean for those few seconds, I would want to see the TPS on a scope as its job is to act as an electronic accellerator pump, help with that first initial squirt of fuel telling the Injectors to open way up before the ECU has time to actually decide where the IPW really needs to be. I believe the TPS voltage at idle is just under one half of a volt, also can you check the MAP sensor voltage at idle warm, it should be just under one volt. Anything higher will require a valve adjustment.
