97 VTEC into a 93 wagon wiring issues
I took a VTech engine out of a 1997 Accord and I put it in my 1993 Accord station wagon and obviously the engine wiring harness does not plug into the main wiring harness. So how can I remedy this?
It depends on how you want the computer to run that engine.
The 93 ECU can't run the vtec.
The 97 PCM is OBD2 and runs the engine and transmission. You'd likely need the wiring harness from a 96/97 EX. Also a catalytic converter that has the bung for a secondary O2 sensor.
The 94/95 EX ECU can run the vtec. You might be able to use the main harness inside your 93 and get the engine harness from a 94/95 EX. This might be the simplest, but you won't have OBD2 to troubleshoot any engine/trans issues.
All of these setups will require you to look at the ECU/PCM pinout to ensure the correct wiring

I bought an adaptive wiring harness for the 97 ecu to the main harness, I know I will need to run a wire for the VTEC, I'm just having issue with adapting the engine harness to the main harness. The tranny is standard, so it don't have a tranny computer. I think of I had the schematics telling me which wires went to which component on the engine, I could just swap out the connectors for the engine. I have the engine harness for the 97 and the original 93
