Default Wiring my Accord

Hello all,

I have been searching for an answer to this question but to no avail. I saw a post from a few years back that almost answered it. But, I didn't think I should necro that thread. So, I am asking here. I have a 1997 Accord LX Coupe with a 4 cyl non-VTEC engine. When I got it, there were some repairs that are needed. Specifically, it looks like she needs a new Left side wiring harness. I have looked online, and it appears the part number I need is Honda Part No.:32120-SV4-A11. I was able to find a part online that looks like it'll work. But, the part number is 32140-SV2-G03. I cannot tell if this would work. Someone in another forum speculated that this might be for the V6 model. But, then, can I still use it? Any search done on using a V6 wiring harness on a V4 engine comes back with results for either swapping the engine or V6 to V8 issues. I just want to get her to daily driver status. Any help is greatly appreciated.

From kevtech's post, it is for the EX. The EX has the vtec and also some differences in how the distributor is wired. Some of the connectors may be different.

I'd probably go to a u-pull-it yard and get a harness from a 96 or 97 non-vtec accord that looks in good shape. I don't typically see a lot of bad wire harness posts on this forum, so a used harness is not a bad option. The fit will be identical and you should find a lot of potential donor vehicles. Ebay is another option.

I already answered him on H-T. The left engine compartment harness is the same for 97-97 LX and EX 4 cylinders.

If you search at a junkyard/salvage yard you're essentially looking for the left engine harness from a 96-97 LX or EX (MT and AT are the same). 94-95 left engine harness are not the same (less connectors).

Wagon, DX, and V6 are different left engine harness. V6 has different and less connectors for that left engine harness.
