1998 Accord 4 cyl had a pair of leaks from the Vtec solenoid. Took it off, replaced the two "O" rings from Honda. Now it throws code P1259 as soon as you clear it and before you start it.

Runs like it is in "get me home" mode. Runs OK until you get on it. Acts like it has a rev limiter.

Went through the Alldata tests and everything was good except for replacing the ECM.

Yes, 1/16 inch over full.

 

I would inspect the electrical connections of the vtec for bent pins, etc... Also check that you didn't damage or pinch the wiring when you had it taken apart.

 

So there is continuity from the 1 pin and B12, but nothing from the 1 pin to body ground?
