98 accord, AC on, power goes off, engine stays on
Ok... this is almost embarrassing, but the oil was low.
I added a quart and I might even add another one today since it's still not up to full.
The Engine Light did not come back on, and the RPM seem to have leveled off.
I didn't have a chance to take the car for a long spin, and today I car pooled to work, so I'm not sure if any of this solves my electrical issues, but probably not.
Overall this is pretty worrisome, since I had an oil change about 2,500 km ago, it's only 1/2 way through it's cycle, and almost 1/2 of the oil is gone???? Where is the oil pressure light????
Either way, I've never had to check on my oil in the past on this car, but I guess I'm entering new times... I feel like back in college with my 83 Jetta.
I appreciate all the help, and I'll report back on my findings tomorrow.

If the crush washer wasn't changed, you could have a slow leak from the pan. In that case, the pressure would be fine until almost empty.
Turn the key ON but dont START immediately. Verify the oil pressure lamp is working. Red & shaped like a cartoon oil can?
But you almost have to run OUT before that goes off. The oil pressure switch is at a pretty low pressure. And I hope you wouldnotice a puddle of oil underneath the car?

Alright, the OIL LIGHT works... I guess the pressure must be set low.
The RPM issue fixed by adding two quarts of oil.
There is no visible oil leak outside of the engine compartment/oil pan.
The electrical issue is not fixed. During a thunderstorm yesterday, every time there was a lightning strike, the electrical power would bounce... this is almost too funny now, but at least the car is running. I'll get the alternator tested... do you have to pull it out for them to test it?

The battery came back OK and so did the alternator.
I'm not sure if they tested the 'load' on the alternator, since it was a bench test, and the problem occurs once I start turning all the peripherals in the car: radio, fan, lights, AC etc...
My buddy will test my battery/alternator tomorrow again, now that everything is back in the car.
Any ideas from you guys...? Appreciate all the help.

In order to be thorough, check that the battery cables are in good condition and that all ends of both the + and - cables are clean and secure. I would also check cable going from the alternator to the battery.
Do the same check of any grounding bolts on the frame and engine block you can find.
