Default 98 Accord EX engine Shroud

New member here -first post!

I have a 98 Accord EX v6, and I need to remove the plastic shrouds over the valve covers -without breaking them!! Anyone know how?? A diagram would be fantastic!! Thanks!

You mean #5 & 6 in this picture? Looks like just a couple bolts.

This belongs in General Tech, so I'll move it.

Much thanks! It was part 5 that I was puzzled with. I have a history of breaking tabs on such items and wanted to avoid that here. Appreciate the very helpful response.

Is the diagram from a parts manual? Is is available online (98 Accord EX V6).

That parts blowup is from hondaautomotiveparts [dot] com. They have the OEM parts blowup.

The Online Manuals thread in the DIY section has a spoon link that has a 98-02 shop manual that you can download. It is an .iso file, so you will have to burn it to a CD for it to work.

Much thanks! forgive me for being dense, but can't seem to find the DIY link. Very eager to find the 98-02 shop manual!

In the "Do-It-Yourself" section of our website. Pretty sure it's a sticky thread near the top.

Lots of on-line parts places have the same pictures. I think they're from Honda's electronic parts catalog. The repair manual has better pictures.
