98 ex needs a new engine.....please help!
I have a 98 lx, 2.3L, 5 speed and need a new engine but I have no idea what to look for. I would like to get a more powerful engine if possible, like a V6 from the same year and model, if that's even the best choice. I really have no idea what my options are though so any help would be great.
Also, I know the replacement engine won't be new (even if you can buy it new I don't want to spend that kind of cash) so where should I look for a used engine online? I've found a few websites (Ebay motors included) with decent engines with around 20K miles for $500 to $1000, but if anyone has any preferences let me know.

Japanese Engine Inc.. 866-532-7878,, They sell low miles engine , I have been dealing with them for several years never had a problem with their engines , I do not know how much an engine for your car will cost , also you would have to pay for shipping cost ..
Make sure that if you do buy one of these low miles engine,, chk the timing belt ,, actually i would install a t-belt kit,( belts, h2o pump, seals ) regardless, that way you do not have to worry for another 80-90k mles
to change a 4 cyl to a v6 , you would have to change a lot of stuff , you would be better off to get an accord v6 ..

Thanks for the info deserthonda. I was afraid I would have to change many other parts to go along with the V6. I'm still going to get a new engine though, I'll post what I get and where I get it. Guess I'll have to check the forum for other ways to gain hp, I'm not trying to get crazy but more than stock would be nice.
