MIL popped up today ... ODBll scan revealed this ...

P1739 MANUFACTURES CONTROLLED TRANSMISSION

Am I in deep ($$$) trouble now?

 

P1739 is "Problem in 3rd Clutch Pressure Switch Circuit"

If it's not the wiring or the PCM, you're likely in for a tranny rebuil/replace. The 98-02 V6 trannies are garbage, if it's not driving horribly I'd just keep driving it.

 

What if I clear the code and see if it returns ...

how do I clear it out ?

 

There's a fusebox in the right end of the dashboard, near the right-front door hinges. Pull fuse #13 in there for 10 or 20 seconds to reset the ECU.
